The show is usually jumping at that time with a long line of people waiting to check in with their gear, but not today. There were definitely people there, but not like other times where you have to shoulder your way through the crowd. I don't know how much the economy has to do with it, but there were also way less of the super high end vintage guitars like 59 Les Pauls and 57 Strats in the $30,000 and up range than I'm used to seeing there, although there was no shortage of cool drool-worthy guitars. I also didn't see as many big name players as usual, although I spotted Metallica's James Hetfield walking around just as I was leaving.
