Members Johansolo
anyone rocking a D-Activator? im picking up one on the cheap to replace the stock bridge INF4 HB in my Ibby RG321 MHmahogany body. im abit out of the loop in terms of pickups for heavy/detuned riffing/chuggah chuggas, but the used price is worth the shot... tell me more...? Members Filter500
I think I'm in the minority, but I tried it in an ESP Horizon NT-II and thought it sounded a little bland. I have an X2N in there now which I prefer, although my favorite pickup in mahogany/maple is the Evolution.
Members SwedeZ
I actually think they're too dark in a way..I mean not a bad way, but in a surprising way. Thats what I've found at least. I have a set in a Jackson king V

Which aren't exactly dark sounding either. Standing in front of the cab they're like an ice pick to the ear. ymmv But I like the base tone they have, they sort of have their own thing going on. Members Johansolo
^ too bright is better than too dark for me...as IMO its better to be able to take away highs than add them...
Members Zozobra
I have them in my DT700 (stock PU) and they're good. They aren't like wow super amazing or anything but I've never felt the inclination to swap them out.
Members R00PE
i have them in my xiphos and i like them, i used to play only emg but didnt feel like changing the pu on my ibanez and i like them. Not sure if i would buy them for replacement though. Nice stock pu but nothing really special.
Members les_paul
Just switched back to my stock Gibson pickups in my V. Mostly for the sake of comparison. They're pretty cool but they're not my end all. Great for drop tunings. They actually sounded WAY better in my Ibanez RGT42.
