Saddle Sores

Many thanks to those who turned me on to frets.com.

 

Tha said, I am concerned about the "break-angle" at which the string bends over the saddle. How little is too little? Is there a way to tell? I am concerned that I took one of my saddles down to far last year. I did it incrementally. At some point, I remember suspecting that the guitar's low end went away. It may be my imagination/ Having survived my first saddle replacement (with your help ) last week, I thought I might try another.
