Members sdre Posted February 14, 2004 Members Posted February 14, 2004 Ok, battle of the acoustics. i've tried all 3 guitars and i must say, i'm quite disappointed with the ntl. could be the strings cause its really worn out. totally washed out strings. the shop owner can't be bothered to change it. the Cort MR780FX is quite a sweet guitar. nicely set up, maple and all. The AD60 sounds and looks good too... anyone care to put an input? The price for the NTL is 400, MR780's around 620, AD60's 500. how do u guys think?
Members Cortfan Posted February 14, 2004 Members Posted February 14, 2004 I would ask the store owner to put some strings on the 50, and then decide. They are usually pretty sweet sounding. The 780 should do it for you, but Alvarez makes some nice guitars as well. Let your ears decide.
Members lab928 Posted February 18, 2004 Members Posted February 18, 2004 I recently bought a Alvarez AD60SC. I'm really happy with it, and the electronics are great. Try looking on Ebay for whatever you decide on - I got my Alvarez, new for $250 including shipping. I've seen the Corts go for even less, because people don't know that they're a great deal.
Members confuseitall Posted February 19, 2004 Members Posted February 19, 2004 I played an NTL the other day and wasn't very impressed, my cheaper Cort plays better....it could just be the specific guitar though, generally I've been pretty impressed with Corts.
