Hi all,

I am new here and thought I would post this to the acoustic board i/o the amp board.

I am in the market for a pa system to use for small gigs. I will be using an acoustic guitar with vocals only.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I have seen a Kustom system which is being discontinued for $150. The amp is a 4 channel, 80 watt, with 2 speakers with 10" speakers.

I want to try to go inexpensive, as money is tight. I have decided, however to use Shure SM58 mics.

Thanks in advace for your help

Kustom makes o.k. stuff. You might want to look at Behringer brand also. We got an 8 channel powered head for $299.99 plus $30 for a 3 year extended waranty. We use it for jams and a backup. Any 4 channel should work for you. Try www.fullcompass.com

Behringer does make a powered mixer for $299. I would check out Carvin. They make several powered mixers and have quite a few package deals that include speakers.

Make sure you get a powered mixer that allows you to run monitors. Hot spot monitors are a simple and an easy way to go to hear yourself when playing live.
