Members GuiltySparc Posted June 9, 2009 Members Posted June 9, 2009 Cross posted this from the Biz forum, not really sure the best place for it. A friend of mine who works for a small company expressed an interest in getting some music for various promo videos and what not from me. I sent him a quick demo reel and he really liked it and wants to talk about licensing and money. Thing is, i've never done anything like this (we are friends from way back and have never done anything in terms of business before). So i dont really have any idea what to charge or what to do about legal things...can anyone point me towards something to reference or give advice? I used loops i bought in acid as well as real instrument tracks that i played/recording. I guess i need to take a look at the terms of use agreements that came with those loops as well.
Members danosongs Posted June 11, 2009 Members Posted June 11, 2009 If the loops are from Sony then they are licensed for you to use for any commercial work. That's the entire point of royalty free loops.
