Thanks for keeping us all honest LB! I was beginning to shy away from Taylor after that whole debacle with the domain name issue. I tried to put that behind me and did my homework once I found actual street prices to go by. Based on price and materials alone, I have a good idea of what my next purchase might be once the wife releases her death grip on the purse strings. Let's just say that it would hail from north of the border.

BTW - forget Kerry, when is Ted Nugent running for office? ;)

I can't put my finger on it but it has something of the feel of a Born Again Christian Assembly.

You know that JR categorized "The Loading Dock" and "Open Mic" to..."Other Discussions"...

You don't have to "visit" those sections...

But IMHO, it's just as bad over in (Open Jam) on these forums.

I've had nothing but good experiences over there. Nobody got heavy with the God thing and people were downright friendly.

I don't mind 'em as long as they're not shoving it down your throat.

I posted my first thread there asking about the going price for a used Taylor 412. Man was that a mistake. They jumped all over me for asking for a price. That was also my last post there and I haven't been back.

Does that forum exist any longer ? I found it on one of my search engines and wanted to do some opinion research but the website comes up as a blank screen.

paranoia?

A lot of acoustic musicians seem a little strange. They seem to create their own little niche & cove. There are attitudes of superiority.....kinda like the electric 'purist ' that condemn anything placed between a guitar & amp....or the 'tube amp only' superiority complex.

The Taylor Forum seems to have that air of superiority about it, that probably comes from the fact that Taylors' are some superior guitars.

The feel of a B.A.C.A...... I think you're getting creeped out by either your own paranoia or your own bias.

Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they are not out to get me!
