Members Legacy AE Posted June 17, 2004 Members Posted June 17, 2004 I have a Fishman AURA and I am very pleased with it but I think most people think I am stretching the truth when I say how good it sounds. If you would like to hear and see it in action for yourself checkout the new site: www.fishmanaura.com I am really impressed with how good this thing really sounds! Let me know what you all think after listening to it yourselves.
Members seven7 Posted June 17, 2004 Members Posted June 17, 2004 i haven't checked out the site yet but thanks for the link. i have seen this before but not heard it yet. i also noticed the only other post you have besides this one is a similar post to this. you don't work for fishman do you? btw, welcome to the forum!
Members Legacy AE Posted June 17, 2004 Author Members Posted June 17, 2004 No I don't. I posted the other message and I think the title is so boring that everyone is ignoring it. Therefor I posted this one. I am really interested in seeing what other people think of the AURA just for the purpose of discussion. I am excited about how good it sounds. Has anyone heard a preamp that sounds better?? If so what?? Has anyone compared it to the Line6 Variax acoustic?? Which sounds better?? It kind of seems like the Aura is a POD for acoustics only better. What do you think??
Members Legacy AE Posted June 17, 2004 Author Members Posted June 17, 2004 By the way. If you have a rainsong, you should really checkout CA Guitars!! They make a graphite guitar that REALLY sounds like wood. I have one and I love it. I haven't heard a Rainsong in person but I've spoken to people who say the CA sounds better. Here's their link: www.caguitars.com And NO, I don't work for CA Guitars either.

Members Legacy AE Posted June 18, 2004 Author Members Posted June 18, 2004 That's interesting. I've never heard of that.
Members seven7 Posted June 18, 2004 Members Posted June 18, 2004 i actually have heard of ca guitars. i've not got to play any though. out of the ones i've seen the only one i'd even consider is the x though. that is one cool looking guitar!i'm not into dreadnoughts so the others are automatically ruled out.the price is pretty steep though.

Members Legacy AE Posted June 18, 2004 Author Members Posted June 18, 2004 I've actually made some home recordings of the Aura and it sounds really realistic. I really liked my Tech21 sansamp acoustic DI until I heard the Aura. Side by side there was no comparison. I can't say enough good things about my Legacy AE. I've gotten to the point that I really prefer the sound of it over wood. My one friend has a Taylor that sounds awesome buy I actually think the Legacy AE sounds a lot better. I never thought I'd say that. When I play my Legacy AE through my Aura live I always get a lot of really positive comments. Right now I use a Taylor sound image for my Aura but I'm hoping they'll get a Legacy AE sound Image that I can download soon. That will really sound great. :)

Members Legacy AE Posted June 18, 2004 Author Members Posted June 18, 2004 I'm hoping Ca Guitars will eventually make a 12-string X-model. That would be really cool. If you have a chance to try your rainsong with an Aura I think you'll be impressed! I think you would be able to find a sound image in there that would sound great. Eventually I am hoping that Fishman will have all kinds of CA guitar models and even Rainsong models. I think they are planning on that.
