Members outofmoney Posted June 22, 2004 Members Posted June 22, 2004 I am in charge of attaining a djembe for percussion. I'm trying to get an acoustic flavor into the worship service, and I'm trying to alternate every other Sunday's worship to incorporate a heavy percussion style with the use of a djembe. What would you guys recommend for the brand? The budget looks like $100-$200. Is it safe to get a used djembe through eBay?
Members geek_usa Posted June 22, 2004 Members Posted June 22, 2004 I'm sorry I can't help you any, but I just gotta say... keep rawkin' for our precious Lord!!
Members seven7 Posted June 22, 2004 Members Posted June 22, 2004 my brother is a percussion player, and i also play some myself. remo seems to be a consistent brand for good djembes in our experience. e-bay can be safe. just pay attention to who you're buying from. check their feedback ratings by clicking on their name etc etc.
Members Preacher Will Posted June 23, 2004 Members Posted June 23, 2004 I was going to say the same thing that Seven7 did--Remo seems to be a good mid-price djembe. I also like LP (Latin Percussion).
