Members wasite Posted June 23, 2004 Members Posted June 23, 2004 Do you guys know any good luthier or music shop in Gainsville, FL? Thanks!
Members LittleBrother Posted June 23, 2004 Members Posted June 23, 2004 This will get you started... I have never gone wrong by using this method for finding a good luthier.... The good thing is you can call people on this list and ask for even more referrals. Chances are if they do warranty repair for Martin they are pretty good. I can't say that for some of the other major brands. Maps included too. Authorized Martin Repair Centers in FL These are some of the only good shops I know of but they might not be close.... He's here on the forum and a very nice cat.
Members Matt McGriff Posted June 24, 2004 Members Posted June 24, 2004 Tony Beneman is the man. He has been long renowned as the best luthier in town. He used to have a shop, but now does setups and repairs out of his house. His phone number is (352)372-0347. The best shop? Well, we are sorely lacking in that regard, especially for acoustics. My favorite is Sim's, just because Jeff Sims and Stan Lynch are such great guys. They carry G&L and have a few acoustics. I buy all of my strings from them.
