Members Prozak Posted June 24, 2004 Members Posted June 24, 2004 http://www.edromanguitars.com I came across them with a google search, but I haven't heard them mentioned here, so I thought I would ask.
Members LittleBrother Posted June 24, 2004 Members Posted June 24, 2004 I've heard many horrible stories but I cannot confirm them personally but I did read some of his online ads and explanations of Taylor and other brands and it was some of the most idiotic stuff I have ever read. I'm sure you will hear a flood about him if you ask this on the electric guitar forum. That's where I think I read all of it.
Members Prozak Posted June 24, 2004 Author Members Posted June 24, 2004 I'll do a search there then, thanks. *edit* WOW. I am so happy I found out about this guy, cause I got a good laugh out of reading the things people say about him. The stuff they said they did to him and the NAMM show and just the general distast people have for him is hilarious.
Members LittleBrother Posted June 24, 2004 Members Posted June 24, 2004 Read this thread for a good laugh http://www.jemsite.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=1142/ Good Lord this one is like the wolf offering advice to you about not getting eaten.... I almost died reading this onehttp://www.edromanguitars.com/rant/ebay.htm Read some of his rants. This guy is possibly NUTS !http://www.edromanguitars.com/rant/
Members Prozak Posted June 24, 2004 Author Members Posted June 24, 2004 Only read the ebay rant. He's a piece of work, thats for sure.

That's where I think I read all of it. You nailed it LB. This guy has a vile reputation. Mention his name on the Electric forum and the profanity immediately runs hot and thick. People have even put up web pages about what a slimeball Ed Roman is. Check this out for some laughable horror stories: http://edroman.aleclee.com/main.html
Members fatnforty Posted June 24, 2004 Members Posted June 24, 2004 I had only one personal experience - was buying a 'cheapy' acoustic - Samick OM8CE and they had a good price - about $279 plus shipping. I ordered on-line, got an order confirmation, but no guitar. When I called to check status they informed me that the guitar was going to be $400 rather than the posted price. I cancelled the order and ordered one at a local shop. Just one anecdote for ya.
Members Etienne Rambert Posted June 24, 2004 Members Posted June 24, 2004 Sorry to hear that. The man is selling MOSRITES! I love a Mosrite. But I wouldn't take a chance like that.
Members Jim S Posted June 25, 2004 Members Posted June 25, 2004 He recently got evisceratd on the TalkBass Forum. I dealt with him twice in the early 1990s. Nothing bad really happened. It wasn't great but not really bad. Overall, his reputation is far from flattering.
Members Cortfan Posted June 26, 2004 Members Posted June 26, 2004 Love him or hate him, he's got a beautiful new store in Las Vegas. I drove by it Saturday, on the way to the airport. He must be crying all the way to the bank, because it ain't in the low rent district by any means.
Members Jim S Posted June 26, 2004 Members Posted June 26, 2004 Funny. He ended up being mentioned on the Larrivee Guitar Forum this week and it was not pretty. Somebody posted this and I was LMYAO:
