Members Jim S Posted May 27, 2004 Members Posted May 27, 2004 How many acoustics do you own and play? I have two: Martin HD-28 Larrivee J-10 KK (I'm not counting the Martin Backbacker that an old girlfriend gave me because the neck warped and I pick it up about once every 5 months and haven't changed the strings on it in over a year.)

I'm due for another one, but it's not in the cards. EDIT: BTW - I see a lot of guys here with 4+ geetars! How DO you do it? Are the kids all grown? Do you have Stepford wives? Please tell me your secret!

Members Singin' Dave Posted May 27, 2004 Members Posted May 27, 2004 egads! You all have some serious collections there! My stable at this point is: 1994 Martin DR1 (beat to hell at this point but sounds great!)2002 Martin 000C-16RGTE (my main gigging acoustic)1999 Taylor 555 12 string (don't play much, but every time I think about selling her, I pick her up, play a bit, then say, "I don't think so") All of them have pickups, with the DR1 and 555 having been installed post mfr. I have 3 electrics as well (Ric, Tele, LP Copy), which I play with my other band, a jam band of sorts. Keep the acoustics at home and the electrics at the rental rehearsal space with my Silverface Twin.
