Members geek_usa Posted July 9, 2004 Members Posted July 9, 2004 i have a Taylor Big Baby that I absolutely love... Taylor
Members The Anti-Fender Posted July 9, 2004 Author Members Posted July 9, 2004 this thing totally blew away some 800 dollar martins
Members LittleBrother Posted July 9, 2004 Members Posted July 9, 2004 That's awesome. I'm glad you found something that really will inspire you to play.... Now get to work
Members Blackwatch Posted July 9, 2004 Members Posted July 9, 2004 Congratulations.... I had a beloved,(though funky) 30 year old Yamaha that some French guy is now playing after someone on SAS airlines "misplaced" it. I was so heartbroken I went out and bought a Taylor 712 and it changed my life. A fine instrument is a wonderful thing.........
Members rh2d Posted July 11, 2004 Members Posted July 11, 2004 I have played the 110 and don't know how Taylor makes such a quality instrument for what they are selling it for. Some I'm not as happy with but that one's a keeper.

Members DMorris Posted July 11, 2004 Members Posted July 11, 2004 The 110 is an amazing guitar for the price. I've had mine almost a year now and I'm just as amazed by it today as I was the day I got it. I still can't believe the sound that comes out of this thing.
Members desaljs Posted July 11, 2004 Members Posted July 11, 2004 I have a 454CE (A/E 12-string) and feel the same way you do about your 110. The Taylors have a bright sound and my guitar really rings out. It is a joy to listen to and play. Good luck with your new instrument.
Members The Anti-Fender Posted July 14, 2004 Author Members Posted July 14, 2004 anyone else have a 110?
Members Jelly_belly_83 Posted July 15, 2004 Members Posted July 15, 2004 I like the Taylor 110, I wish they had come out with it when I was looking for an acoustic. I bought a Garrison G-30E, which is also nice but I really like ebony fingerboards and at the time Garrison didn't have those (now some models do). Have fun with that guitar it actually sounds like my Garrison, except I'd say the Taylor is brighter, and the Garrison is warmer. Damn, now I'm gassing again....

Members guitarcapo Posted July 23, 2004 Members Posted July 23, 2004 In my opinion Taylor is doing everything right about acoustics but one thing: the polyester finish sucks. The bolt on neck design is awesome. The tone is great.Necks are great.Expression system is great. Just hate that plastic finish.............

I see nothing childish about it. All he is saying is the Taylor sounded better to him than some 800 dollar Martins. Now if he had said something like Taylors rule and Martins suck donkey balls I might have to agree with you. That would be a childish statement.
Members Northern Rocker Posted July 23, 2004 Members Posted July 23, 2004 a mature statement would have given some objective reasons why he preferred that particlar Taylor to some particular Martins which he had also tried.
