Members littleluke Posted August 2, 2004 Members Posted August 2, 2004 I ordered a new guitar about 5/6 weeks back and I'm really looking forwaward to it arriving, but.............. When I played one , I knew that was what I wanted,. But as it's taking 3 months(ish) to build, I can't but help wonder, if it was in fact the right guitar I chosen ! I keep seeing model X, and model Y, and wondeing if I should have tried model Z before I ordered model A! Anyone else suffered like this? I took ages looking around, trying everything I could. I know I won't regret it when it arrives. Though I think there's room in the corner for a National O type if this one doesn't live up to expectatations..........
Members Unk Posted August 2, 2004 Members Posted August 2, 2004 I think that perfectly normal, especially when you have 5-6 weeks to wait. We like guitars and because if that we'll always be looking at others and there will always be another one to shoot for. But I'm fairly confident that it won't lessen your appeal to the one you're waiting for. Right now it's just a guitar. In 5-6 weeks it will be YOUR guitar. That always seems to make a difference.
Members desaljs Posted August 2, 2004 Members Posted August 2, 2004 I have one on order now for about 6-7 weeks. I have tried to talk myself into something else on several occasions, but held off. I know I will be happy when it arrives. You did the research, now trust your judgement and wait for that puppy to arrive. Good luck.
Members SongMan Posted August 2, 2004 Members Posted August 2, 2004 I have been wating fow 4 and 1/2 MONTHS. The dealer told me that my Collings D3 will arrive somtime this week. FInally!!! I think I occupied my self by buying and selling mutiple guitars(7 plus) in the painful process of wating.
