Can Anyone Recommend Any Flatpicking Acoustic Soloists?

It seems that the vast majority of acoustic soloists are fingerstyle players. Are there any flatpickers out there, other than bluegrass and country players, making good acoustic music? I would appreciate introductions to some new artists/music.

Don't know if you're into any of that gypsy jazz stuff, but if you want to hear some phenominal acoustic flatpick playing check out gypsy jazz wiz Jimmy Rosenberg.

Your suggestions are appreciated, and these are all great players, but I was looking for musical styles OTHER THAN bluegrass and country. It seems these players are primarily bluegrass guys, albeit phenomenal musicians. The gypsy jazz recommendation is duly noted as an exception.

I guess I'm looking for Michael Hedges or Lawrence Juber with a flatpick. It just might not exist.

I think you're looking for something that may not exist. Traditionally it's the country and bluegrass players that flatpickers. They probably invented the stuff.

I never saw Michael Hedges use a pick.
