Hi LB good looking site, well written and presented.Great to see more stuff dedicated to my passion.Sadly there is a dearth of magazines/periodicals in the UK for the purely acoustic player and AG has way too much advertising for my taste.Congratulations and more power to your elbow!;)

Looks Great LB! I know you guys have spent many, many hours on this. I appreciate all the work and time you have put forth to help our online guitar community.

I look forward to many issues! :)

Thanks again,

LB. This is beautiful. I urge anyone to listen to Ed Claxton's video, not just the tech portions in page three about guitar construction, but also the portions about his personal history. I believe they bear on his craftmanship.

LB, like you, Ed is careful to express his taste in design and tone in a respectful, polite manner accounting for personal subjectivity.

He seems like a special person. Please watch this vid.

Looks great doug, I don't have a lot of time right now, but I bookmarked the site and I'll be back to look over it better later. Thanks for all your hard work.

Thanks so much for the kind words. I thank Mike Crixell for all the wonderful talent he brought to the table. He flew to Santa Cruz, Ca and filmed Ed Claxton and many others around the country. If you like what you see there is a whole lot more where that came from and I can't wait to see APM unfold in future issues. Thanks again for your support and encouragement!

Nice site Doug!!! While I was waiting to register, I clicked on the link to John Pearse strings and got the Ultrasound site. Other than that, all looks good! It is bookmarked and will be visited frequently.

Very cool LB! I'd wondered where you'd gone to. Since quitting my job I've been doing web and graphic design and I know how much work it takes to bring something like this online and updated regulalry.

BTW - I love the look of your site, too. That's a pretty slick layout on the home page! I'm also glad to see the reincarnation of your home recording instructional video!

I'm already on the forum.

LB - the ads at the top of the page on the forum are pretty huge; any way of shrinking 'em just a scosh?

Little brother the "home recording Demystified" was exactly what I've been needing to know! THANK YOU SO MUCH! The only question I have remaingin is what software are you using? Does that software come with your preamp soundbox?

LB,

I was watching the video stream in my basement and my wife stopped what she was doing upstairs to come down and ask me where that beautiful music was comming from. My six year old was sitting next to me and we watched it all. He was freaked out and went upstairs to grab his Baby Taylor.

Good stuff.

Regards,

Hey Everyone,

Thanks so much for the fantastic support you've given us. Doug and I have worked hard during the last year to prepare Acoustic Player Magazine for its premiere. We launched the magazine last Friday, after staying up all night for two days in a row, making sure everything was right. The challenges were tremendous but the response we've gotten is worth it all.

We have received great messages of encouragement from people all over the world, for which we are humbled and grateful. Our passion for acoustic playing and players is at the heart of our efforts, and hearing such fantastic responses from real players is the best reward we could ever ask for.

Thanks again, and if you haven't yet, please come visit us at Acoustic Player Magazine. We have tons of articles, reviews and, most important, original videos of great performances by outstanding artists.

And this is just the beginning.

Mike Crixell
