Ok I have a hd-28v and I need to get a humidifier for it. Does it matter if it is a warm vs a cool mist one? I dont understand the difference, is the warm one gonna warm up the whole room in the winter time? doesnt seem like it.

Also how often do you need to replace the filters? I was wondering if it was worth spending a lil extra and getting this humidifier which never needs to have the filter replaced.

I have had my guitar about a month now, and it has not been humidified, I have noticed that it doesnt play quite as well, I am assuming it is because it is getting real dry, would this help it go back? does a guitar that it properly humidified sound better? (I know it smells better ;) )

Thanks

The humidity in Las Vegas is typically less than 10%. Not good for guitars. You need to keep the humidty around 45-50%. Unless you have a real tight house you're probably gonna have a hard time keeping your whole house humidified. Especially in Las Vegas.

You may have to use a humidfier in the case. Like a dampit in the soundhole. Maybe a second one in the accessory compartment. Get a hygrometer (humidity gauge) too. Keep the humidty around 45-50% inside the case.

You can try to humdify one room with your guitar(s) and keep the door shut but you are constantly going to be refilling the water reservoir and you are going to have a tough time keeping it at 40% in the dessert anyway. Better to use a Planet Waves case humidifier or the damp sponge in a soap dish (with holes punched out) and just keep it in its case when you're not playing. You can also buy a case hygrometer to keep track of the humdity. I would get on this asap.
