Members Scoobee Posted October 12, 2004 Members Posted October 12, 2004 So my tanglewood acoustic is giving me a tangle of problems to deal with. No matter how much I adjust the truss rod, the neck does not move the slightest (I tighten or loosen and then leave it over night). The action is atrocious and the acoustic is almost rendered unplayable unless played between the first and third frets. Anybody got any suggestions or ideas?
Members LosBoleros Posted October 12, 2004 Members Posted October 12, 2004 Is your neck straight? Does it have an incredible Bow in it? Is the neck on at the wrong angle? You have to know which of these is going on before you can have the answer.
Members solitaire Posted October 12, 2004 Members Posted October 12, 2004 How old is it and since when did the scewing occur?
Members Scoobee Posted October 13, 2004 Author Members Posted October 13, 2004 The guitar was bought new this spring. The screwing just happened recently. I think it might be because of the drastic changes in humidty levels where I am. Maybe it warped?
