I've been looking for an acoustic for a while. I've had nothing but electrics for the past 15 years. So, I am talking to the store manager, and about different material etc. and we start talking about other stuff. Somehow, I made mention that I previously was in the militarty and he told me to wait just a minute. He pulled out a Martin DVM. This was a limited run line Veterans Guitar this is #127. I had no idea what it was worth. The list on it was $3199, They were selling it for $2199 and he offered to sell it to me for $999, because they've had it for a while and he wanted it to go to a good home.:D Well, It is very similar to an HD-28 with the Rosette and back purfling of the D-45.

Here are some pics:

Are you talking about the Arlington show? I totally spaced it this year. I didn't realize it until a week after it was gone.

Scott,

You "stole" that guitar!!!! That is an unheard of price! Unbelievable! Glad you got it...someone who appreciates it for what it is!

Enjoy it.

Somehow I can get the whole "it was a steal" past my wife. But I do take great care of my gear.

Yeah...it was a lot better/bigger than the Dallas show (which I thought was kinda weird!)...picked up a few new toys, sold some gear I wasn't using anymore, got to shoot the breeze/jam briefly with some heavily-tattooed albino dude named "J. Winter"...decent blues picker ;)
