Members Watch_me_move Posted March 13, 2009 Members Posted March 13, 2009 Hello,I recently signed up with CDbaby to release my band's EP for online distribution (Itunes, Amazon) It's been three weeks and I still haven't seen it online How long does it take for them to distribute them online thru Itunes? I haven't sent them the hard copies yet. I was wondering if I have to since I'm planning to sell the actual CD thru my website? I solely signed up to get online distribution. Thanks!
Members cherri Posted March 13, 2009 Members Posted March 13, 2009 It does take them a few weeks. All in all I have been very happy with CD baby.
Members veracohr Posted March 14, 2009 Members Posted March 14, 2009 Mine started getting onto smaller digital distribution services first, then iTunes came a month or two later. Don't worry just yet.
Members BlueStrat Posted March 14, 2009 Members Posted March 14, 2009 It took me a few months to get on itunes. They're swamped with submissions that they have to sort through.
Members bexarametric Posted April 14, 2009 Members Posted April 14, 2009 I have been with CD Baby for about 6 years. No complaints.
Members fuzzball Posted April 14, 2009 Members Posted April 14, 2009 I agree just give them time. They have been good for me.
Members uz3r Posted April 15, 2009 Members Posted April 15, 2009 Our EP took close to two months to get on iTunes if I remember right. Great service though.
Members T. Alan Smith Posted April 16, 2009 Members Posted April 16, 2009 I've gotten a LOT of hits thru CDBaby...not much sales...but a LOT of hits. Can't blame CDBaby.
