Members loonister Posted January 15, 2005 Members Posted January 15, 2005 What soundhole pickup would be good to put in my Washburn D100? I only have $50 to spend, keep in mind. EDIT: I'll be using a GNX2 with it with some effects so I'm not really concerned with it keeping it's acoustic sound (that much) as I'll be mic'ing it if I were to use it without effects.
Members RainsongDR1000 Posted January 15, 2005 Members Posted January 15, 2005 If you REALLY only have $50 and can't scrape up any more, I'm afraid your only choices would be something like a Seymour Duncan "Woody", Dean Markley Promag or maybe a Fishman Neo-D.
Members onetubetone Posted January 15, 2005 Members Posted January 15, 2005 For $90 you can get a K&K Pure Western... its an easily mounted pickup that goes inside your guitar... will kill any soundhole pickup of any price.
Members seven7 Posted January 15, 2005 Members Posted January 15, 2005 i would get the fishman neo-d. check out http://www.shorelinemusic.com free shipping in the usa... and of course you can check out e-bay. some deals to be had there too occasionally..
Members Cortfan Posted January 16, 2005 Members Posted January 16, 2005 You can get the Dean Markley ProMag Plus, with the rubber feedback reducers for less than $50. I have used them for years with good results.
