Members digitalsnipe Posted February 7, 2005 Members Posted February 7, 2005 Tried what you suggested and Voila! There it was already downloaded. Opened it with the media player. Wow. Yea, very interesting piece. Talk about mood and visualizations. A great departure from the norm calling up what could be felt as an experience-invoked visualization for the listener. Definitely no off-the-shelf genre implications here and that's refreshing. Crazy as it may sound, I visualized a scene where two opposing forces on an otherwise silent medieval battleground have clashed. No victor, no fanfare, just a silent field with the music's poignancy calling over the battle's aftermath of stark stillness and repose. I ramble. My kid writes plays and I get the duty of helping him sound track them. Hence my foregoing visualization. What tuning? I fingerpick and have tried some open tunings. I found a couple things in E but don't experiment much in open.
Members onetubetone Posted February 7, 2005 Author Members Posted February 7, 2005 Haha wow, that's a very interesting visulation you got going there for my song, lol. Cool that you got that much from it! The style was very old-southern inspired, kinda melodic minor blues. I'm working on it, that was basically like a "rough draft" recording. Anyhow, it was in DADGAD... i really like the style, i'd like to expand upon it a lot more. Thanks for listening!
