Members name_is_outlaw Posted February 11, 2005 Members Posted February 11, 2005 Just recently purchased a Breedlove AD20/SR + (which I like very much) and am having problems find a harshell case to go with it. The Breedlove dealer said that this a problem with the Breedlove dreadnoughts unless you wanted to purchase the "official" Breedlove case for $250. If I could do that then I would be purchasing a non-Atlas Breedlove. Has anyone had this problem and what cases worked for you? I think the SKB-18 Dreadnought Deluxe might work, from having looked on the internet, but without one to test it out I don't want to order online and then have to send it back when it doesn't work. I know Breedlove makes a gig bag for around $100 but I'm looking for something at can take some abuse and not cost over $130. Also, wondering if a Coffin case might work or not? Thanks for your acoustic wisdom! -- C.R. Outlaw
Members surfcat Posted February 12, 2005 Members Posted February 12, 2005 Sorry, no ideas. I had the same problem when I was checking them out at a dealer-he tried every case in the store-the headstock is longer and I think the body might have been a little smaller than normal. They had about 5 or 6 of the Atlases in stock but no cases. I had no idea the Breedlove hardshell cases were so much-probably why he didn't have any. I ended up not buying one-that was part of the problem-an internal buzz in the model I was looking at was the other, but they sure do play like electrics. Hopefully Breedlove can provide a reasonably priced alternative case sometime soon.
Members name_is_outlaw Posted February 12, 2005 Author Members Posted February 12, 2005 TKL makes Breedlove's signature cases, so I need to find out what TKL model it is. Anyone...? Bueller...? I e-mailed TKL to inquire, but have no idea how long it will take for them to respond.
