Members Deek Posted March 9, 2005 Members Posted March 9, 2005 This might be sort of out of place, but i figure acoustic players would know more on this subject that electric players. So i have an hollowbody electric guitar (archtop). There's always feedback when i'm playing in a live situation. I don't stand too close to the amp when i play, but it's probably within about 4 or 5 feet. It's a real pain when halfway through a tune, there's just a whole bunch of feedback. Turning down is not really an option (i play in a jazz quintet with a drummer and a trombone). What can i do to stop the feedback???
Members B. Adams Posted March 9, 2005 Members Posted March 9, 2005 If your amp has a notch filter, that would help. If that doesn't help, or it's a regular electric guitar amp, you could get a multiband parametric EQ to do pull out the frequencies that are feeding back. You could also try these, which I just saw in another thread.
