Hmm. I'm sorry that you may have run across either or both. What does a hacking, fake Christian look like?

My ex had an affair with a minister, she's married to him now. I think I know what one looks like.

Ignoring the Christian issue, what kind of guitars do you play? I realize Martins aren't for everybody, but I have to wonder about someone who thinks of a Martin as a "hack" guitar. Of course there are guitars which (IMHO) are better than most Martins such as Santa Cruz, Collings, Goodall, Froggy Bottom (but also mucho more bucks).
Still can't go wrong with a D28!

EDIT: Oh, I see you play a Cort
nothing inherently wrong with that, but have you ever played a Martin? Or did you just want to bash Christians, and figured you'd bash Martins as well?

I live near the Martin Factory and seen their reps at trade shows, I have never heard or read about any of their owners or CEO's being saved. They make a good guiter, but for me I like Taylors better, primarily because of their awesome necks

I don't think so, but unless they come out with a solid "Ark" top, I don't care either way.

I want the model with the .125 cubit neck.

They've saved some logs of Sitka for their Smart Wood series though (from the decadence of pulpmills, wouldn't you know(=tonewood's hell?)), bless them :)

This type of thing comes up every once in awhile. I used to hear how Abertson's supermarkets belonged to the Mormon Church.
Here's probably the truth, some of the people who work at Martin go to church or a mosque or a temple or a synagogue. It doesn't mean that buying a Martin guitar is giving direct support to any organization. They do have a right to use their income gained from working in whatever manner they choose.
If you give me a job (please do somebody) then I will support some organization in which I believe whether you or the company I work for believes in it or not. In fact, that is called freedom of religion.

And many organized religions, by the way, invest in stocks, mutual funds, and so forth. It doesn't mean that they control such companies.

I'd be willing to bet you'd fined just as many Taylor guitars among (choose any particular group of people with music as a main part of their regular gatherings) as Martins. In a word, WHO CARES?

You aren't including the Presbyterians are you?

...or the Methodists come to think of it.

Baptists, sure, but Lutherans? I don't think so.

Well okay, there was that Bach guy, but come on, who else?

:D :D :D :D :D
