Members AtomHeartMother Posted March 12, 2005 Members Posted March 12, 2005 I have an old acoustic I'd like to clean up and get into good playing condition. What would I use to clean off dust and grime from the top and sides? How about cleaning the fretboard? I've used lemon oil or whatever it's called in the past to moisten dry rosewood boards. Is this a good idea or no? I was thinking about cleaning the board and frets with rubbing alcohol and then putting lemon oil stuff the board to moisten it. I would also use the finest steel wool to try to polish the old frets. Does that sound OK? What about cleaning the body?
