Anybody know the value of a '73 Yamaha FG200? Orig. tuners replaced. Bone nut & saddle. One small ding on top. Couldn't find anything in Orion Bluebook.

Are you buying or selling it?

If it's made in Japan and has the infamous "red label" with "NIPPON GAKKI" on it, it's worth more than a Taiwan-made Yamaha.

Unfortunately "more" is not a real lot of money because Asian-made acoustics don't demand the outrageous prices that their American counterparts do, even though a red label Yamaha acoustics sound every bit as good as a Martin made around the same time.

A good price for a '73 FG200 red-label would be $300 to $350 in the shape you described. A Taiwan-made FG200 should fetch about $50 to $75 less. But remember, these guitars sold for about $125 to $150 back then, so they've doubled in value. That's pretty darned good for a Jap-made guitar! :)

Thanks for the info. It's definitely Taiwanese. I think I paid $175 new. So $350 would be 100% return. Better than lots of my investments, I guess.

Re-read my post.

It's only worth $350 if it's a red-label Japanese made guitar with Nippon Gakki on the label.

If it's Taiwan-made it's worth about $75 less.

You said yours is Taiwan-made, so it's worth $275... tops.
