Members guit30 Posted March 30, 2005 Members Posted March 30, 2005 I know there are a lot of solid bodies coming out of China today. Anyone know of any Korean ones? Just curious, I think most Korean guitars still have an edge on the new Chinese market where all the companys are moving to. Wonder if the earhquakes in Indonesia have destroyed many guitar plants.

Members Jerry NT Posted March 31, 2005 Members Posted March 31, 2005 Solid bodies? Do you mean an acoustic with solid back and sides or an electric made of solid wood? (Wrong forum) I don't know of any acoustics with solid back and sides from either China or Korea but many have solid tops. Most solid body electrics are made in Korea but China makes some also. I personally go with the Korean.
Members guit30 Posted March 31, 2005 Author Members Posted March 31, 2005 - Sorry I did not make that clear, acoustic guitars, Guild, Blueridge and Washburn all have totally solid wood guitars made in China, don't remember any Korean guitars that were totally solid woodJim
