Members Thomas Gamm Posted April 4, 2005 Members Posted April 4, 2005 ....bought a new Taylor 814 CE L7 and don`t really know what kind of strings to try besides the "elixir nano-webs" it came with, would be really glad to hear your opinions!
Members Chris26356 Posted April 5, 2005 Members Posted April 5, 2005 i have an 814 ce (not a limited edition though). i personally like D'addario exp16 light gauge. elixers sound great but they dont feel like "real strings" to me...but that's just me
Members onetubetone Posted April 5, 2005 Members Posted April 5, 2005 I'm a huge advocate of Newtone Masterclass PB strings. Amazing tone, long life, classic construction. Check em out, theyre all I use.
Members kindbud Posted April 5, 2005 Members Posted April 5, 2005 I have a 814 CE and I like the Martin Acoustic SP (Phosphor Bronze) Light .012-.054. I've tried the nano and Polyweb but they seem to take away the sound, Sounds flat to me. Just try some of each cause we all have a different tone in our head that we are searching for.
Members WilsonMak Posted April 5, 2005 Members Posted April 5, 2005 John Pearse 12 gauge! They will give your taylor a nice bass boost!

Members eyeball987 Posted April 5, 2005 Members Posted April 5, 2005 My hands eat strings so I use the Elixir nano's. Actually, I like them better than anything else that I have tried on my 414RCE.
