Members egordon99 Posted April 5, 2005 Members Posted April 5, 2005 You beat me to it! Richard is in our top three favorite artists. Also in that list is Dave Carter & Tracy Grammer, and Eddie From Ohio. Cheryl Wheeler is great too! I did a cover of Richard's ":Che Guevara T-Shirt" on my website at http://www.evangordon.com/sounds.php It's just me and my Larrivee OM03R (which has been at Oxnard for repairs and is coming home today!!!!) Members zookie Posted April 5, 2005 Members Posted April 5, 2005 Most of us here in the US are well aware of the folk explosion of the late 1950's and early 1960's. Woody Guthrie, The Weavers, Kingston Trio, Limeliters all lead into Bob Dylan, etc. This same process of cultural self-identity was also taking place in England, Ireland and Scotland. In addition to all the folk music listed above, give a listen to: Christy Moore from IrelandFairport Convention from EnglandSilly Wizard from Scotland There's also Steeleye Span, Richard Thompson, Planxty.
