String Swing and Acoustic Guitars

Third post ever! And a very mundane one at that...

 

Do the standard String Swings work with dreadnought-size acoustic guitar, i.e., do they hold the guitar far enough from the wall that the body doesn't hit the wall? Or do I need to use the ones with the extension bar that swivels?

Jimmy, Welcome.

I hang all my acoustics from swingthings without any problem. They are used all over in shops without extensions or mods. Some people put up a section of cork backing on the wall behind the guitar to protect guitar and wall. With the acoustics you just need to be a little more careful to let them hang straight before you let go because the clearance is pretty close.
