Members Vatican Posted May 14, 2005 Members Posted May 14, 2005 EQ and compression: how would you apply EQ (and compression) to the recorded sound of a martin rosewood dreadnaught with scalloped bracing? (and why wouldn't recording engineers prefer the balanced sound of a jumbo?)
Members guit30 Posted May 14, 2005 Members Posted May 14, 2005 I would record the guitar thru a condenser mic aimed at the neck, body joint, run the mic thru a compressor set at a real soft setting, just to keep sound even, keep eq flat and eq later if needed Jim
