Members Cldplytkmn Posted May 15, 2005 Members Posted May 15, 2005 Picked mine up for $200 shipped (sorry can't divulge sources... i need to buy another one... or two!!) and cannot be happier with it... installation was easy once i got up the nerve to start drilling holes in my bridge (pinless bridge), and even glueing the transducers blind on the bridgeplate went real well... you COULD really make a mess of things with the installation, any high end guitar would be well worth having it professionally installed. I can't even give a good review on the sound because well... it just sounds like the guitar i put it in... the mic is no good by itself, but thats not what its there for... i had set up the EQ on the transducers and was thrilled... played 2 songs with my band before realizing i wasn't even using the mic... it probably doesn't NEED the mic... but oh boy... on some of our slower numbers, the mic really shined and filled out the guitar... if you need acoustic amplification, this is the answer... every time someone asks what to buy... i know for a fact what to recommend... this is the answer.
Members Cldplytkmn Posted May 15, 2005 Author Members Posted May 15, 2005 as soon as i get a decent soundcard, i'll record some samples of the trinity in my AN10 *EDIT* it was partly because of OTT's sound samples that i bought mine
Members guitarcapo Posted May 15, 2005 Members Posted May 15, 2005 I have two of those I've yet to install in my guitars. the instructions make it sound like if you are off a millimeter it won't sound good and you are Krazy gluing it to your guitar! I'll get around to it some day... I got them for 85.00 each but that was a year ago....
Members onetubetone Posted May 15, 2005 Members Posted May 15, 2005 Yeah, I definately think I should chime in here . Hardcore Trinity Western user... great system, I love it. When I do some serious recording over the summer I think I'll even blend some of it in with the mic tone. Anyhow, I have a bunch of samples uploaded, all recorded direct in with the Trinity Western... here they are if anyone wants to listen: With harmonica: http://www.digitalsoundplanet.com/Members/000159217_000027619.mp3Fingerpicking: http://www.digitalsoundplanet.com/Members/000140898_000026804.mp3DADGAD:http://www.digitalsoundplanet.com/Members/000159217_000026642.mp3
Members Cldplytkmn Posted May 15, 2005 Author Members Posted May 15, 2005 guitarcapo, i can understand your being hesitant... i dunno how long i just stared at the spots i had to drill... then i kept putting off getting out the glue... but in all honesty its not that hard and as long as they're in the right sequence and between your bridge pins, i think you're fine... that was my understanding... by the way, if you want to unload one of those systems at some point, let me know for sure... i'm looking to buy another.
