Members knockwood Posted May 22, 2005 Members Posted May 22, 2005 This series looks pretty interesting, but I can't seem to find a listing for a single dealer in the US that carries them... Yamaha's website doesn't exactly make finding a dealer easy, either. Anyone have any info about these/played one? What the hell is it with Japanese makers hiding their guitars from the potential buying public??? I've been incredibly curious about Morris guitars as well, but they have perhaps the worst, most inscrutable website I've ever seen in my entire life - images of only one series, & they look like they were scanned from paper prints of secondary images of their own models... Did they not have any of their own guitars to photograph????? WTF? Makes me wonder why on earth they bother spending the $$ to put ads in Acoustic Guitar every month. My 11-year-old niece could run circles around whatever jackass designed that site for Morris. Argh.
Members Jkater Posted May 23, 2005 Members Posted May 23, 2005 One of the best hand made acoustics I have own was my L-9 from the early 80's. I very much regret having sold it (I was young and stupid). I just love the shape of the high end Yamaha acoustics. Sort of a dreadnought but rounder and more elegant. Beautiful guitars.
Members speed_12 Posted May 23, 2005 Members Posted May 23, 2005 One of my mates has got a Yamaha LL-35 which he bought used last year and it sounds absolutely superb. Its roughly comparable we reckon with the new LL-26 in terms of materials and stuff. They are definitely worth a look, workmanship is outstanding and the sound is just incredible.
Members Cldplytkmn Posted May 23, 2005 Members Posted May 23, 2005 sorry i can't help much with the yammi's, but just piping up to say that i've been to Morris' website and completely agree... its a joke... It could be that they have a more complete page in their own language... something... i dunno... it seems ridiculous
