Members JasmineTea Posted June 16, 2005 Members Posted June 16, 2005 Anyone into it? I find I can rip all over the guitar when I'm juiced up on coffee. Only draw-back is, the tempo keeps getting faster and faster.
Members dadgad7 Posted June 16, 2005 Members Posted June 16, 2005 yeah man, coffee! I really can't comment if if makes me wilder or not 'cause I'm always jacked on coffee - it's the last vice I refuse to give up, I don't care if it makes me grow a second head .
Members MrChitlins Posted June 16, 2005 Members Posted June 16, 2005 my best playing is weekend mornings after a couple cups of coffee.
Members ryanspeer Posted June 16, 2005 Members Posted June 16, 2005 Not sure about PLAYING after a cup or two of java, but I can definitely seem to sing a bit clearer and with less vocal chord strain after a cup or two . . . At one point where I was feeling like I was battling kind of a precursor of bronchitis or something similar, it got me through a couple of church services like a breeze! Coffee: the nectar of the gods. (I mean that purely tongue-in-cheek)
Members slider Posted June 16, 2005 Members Posted June 16, 2005 coffee doent help me to play better. faster, or with me enthusiaism, but a toke really works magic on my playing.
Members JasmineTea Posted June 16, 2005 Author Members Posted June 16, 2005 Recently started taking a puff now and then, had'nt had any in years. Man!...
Members slider Posted June 16, 2005 Members Posted June 16, 2005 jasminetea...my oud playing sounds marvelous afterwards (haha).
Members JasmineTea Posted June 16, 2005 Author Members Posted June 16, 2005 Originally posted by slider jasminetea...my oud playing sounds marvelous afterwards (haha). I know what you mean! For me it seems everything gets more interesting. I have to stop once in a while and think about it. I've got some "Community" Coffee with Chicory from New Orleans, yowsa!
Members kwakatak Posted June 16, 2005 Members Posted June 16, 2005 I can't function at all without coffee, but it really sucks when I try to play for a long period of time without having to take multiple p!$$ breaks!
Members d03nut Posted June 16, 2005 Members Posted June 16, 2005 Coffee & Guitar, the best beverage/instrument combination out there TME (to my ears). I think we should stop using IMO on this forum. It's our hearing that's forming a lot of our IMO so.........
Members digitalsnipe Posted June 17, 2005 Members Posted June 17, 2005 I cannot comment on the guitar playing being enhanced because I have never known life without the tincture of the magic bean. Maybe I should lay off for awhile to get some frame of reference. Nah. The bean and I, we are one with the world.
Members Preacher Will Posted June 17, 2005 Members Posted June 17, 2005 My band rehearses at 8:00am and plays at 8:00am. i'd sooner leave my gig bag at home than my coffee.

BUT don't get me wrong i love it... i suppose i'm just not caffeine sensitive anymore... couple shots of espresso though and i can still get a little bit hyped up.
Members dadgad7 Posted June 17, 2005 Members Posted June 17, 2005 as far as that 'toke' not a bad mood enhancer at all! it does make things more interesting. I'll come up with things that would have otherwise been dismissed quickly, the problem is I rarely remember what I came up with:D

It's what I happened to be drinking at the time I signed up. A few hours later and it would've been Jim Beam.

Members Cow4prez Posted June 18, 2005 Members Posted June 18, 2005 if im high or intoxicated with alcohol, i play real bad. If i'm on caffeine, i get the shakes and can't play either
Members GorillaLover Posted June 19, 2005 Members Posted June 19, 2005 I used to have a bad habit of jamming on stimulants became an everytime sort of thing either way.. I like drinking green tea a couple times throughout the day in general stimulants do help you focus but dependency sucks.. even psychological
Members kwakatak Posted June 24, 2005 Members Posted June 24, 2005 I just bought a pound of it for my wife on our 6th anniversary. I'm not normally a morning person so I have high hopes that it will really help me out with my mid-morning practice sessions. What would REALLY help out would be one of those nice flamed-koa Goodall OM models to play on too! There's no chance that will happen but I love to dream big!
Members JasmineTea Posted June 24, 2005 Author Members Posted June 24, 2005 Just got some stuff from a freind: Herbal Concentrate- for increased metabolism with green tea. word has it, it's "the {censored}", have yet to try it.
