Members Dr. T Posted July 12, 2005 Members Posted July 12, 2005 I am playing an Ibanez AW 12CE-NT, which has a fishman pickup built in. I usually plug my acoustic into an amp or DI it into my computer for recording. But lately it's been sounding funny, the high b and e strings are almost inaudible, on both recordings and through the amp. Anyone know what the problem is and anything I can do to fix it?
Members Terry Allan Hall Posted July 12, 2005 Members Posted July 12, 2005 Sounds like the saddle is not making good contact over the "B" and high "E", for whatever reason...to test this idea, loosen all the strings and taking a flat-blade screwdriven, press down over where each tring would be and tap lightly on the end of the handle...if all comes out the same volume, you could do the "Clay Trick" to re-balance the P/U. I've got quite a bit of the clay required and will be happy to send you enough for the price of the postage.
