Members BMCS Posted July 24, 2005 Members Posted July 24, 2005 Just found it online and I'm about to pull the trigger unless someone stops me. This guitar is beautiful, but the only other Taylors I've played were a 414 and a 314ce. Please stop me:confused:

I loved it.what kind of music do you play? I have a local shop that will do a 414 for 998 and a 314ce for 1298. I'm thinking about heading back there on Monday. The 314 was really nice. It actually was the nicest acoustic I have ever played. I would have walked out with it that day, but I'm always looking for a better deal and I thought the wife would kill me:eek: Then I found out she thought it would be great:( I played mostly classic/folk rock and a little bluegrass. I'm basically looking for an acoustic I can keep forever and not kick myself in the butt later when I find something better. I'm looking in that price range but there is so much to chose from and very little to try out locally so I'm trying to be careful:confused:
Members leftync Posted July 24, 2005 Members Posted July 24, 2005 Just my opinion, but I don't think the Taylors really start getting great until you hit the 5 series. I'm sure all Taylors are fine guitars, but I think there are better values in the $1500 and under categories. I played a 310, about $1,000 when I bought a Seagull for about $460, and heard little difference. The higher end Taylors and Martins are another story. That's just my opinion. I'm sure you can't buy a bad taylor.

They didn't have many when I was in last time and none of them did it for me:confused:
