Members krazeexharhar Posted July 27, 2005 Members Posted July 27, 2005 i've played electrics for a long time but I think for church I might need a solid electric-accoustic. I'm the lead guitarist but my praise leader this year wants to more accoustic so...being a complete newb I have no clue where to start and I don't want to be ripped off. I asked the effects forum if an accoustic pedal would be a good idea but I think maybe a real accoustic would be better. Any recommendations? Be specific to models of guitars, how much they cost and why you recommend them. You are speaking to a total accoustic newb here.
Members krazeexharhar Posted July 27, 2005 Author Members Posted July 27, 2005 Any other suggestions for accoustic-electrics? I can't seem to find a lot of Alvarez RD20SC's used available...If i can find a decent one for under 250 used...
Members BMCS Posted July 27, 2005 Members Posted July 27, 2005 Some players don't like 'em, but I've had several nice playing higher priced Ovations and you could probably find a Celebrity model with a super shallow body for that price. I have never had a Celebrity but a friend does and it plays very nice. Never heard it plugged in though.I like the Super Shallow bodies for the comfort. The mid and deep bodies suck IMHO.I wouldn't touch an Applause with a 10-foot pole
