I won...an L Benito auditorium model at NAMM.

I play up the neck often and my existing acoustics, an APX 20 and a Ragtime, bothe are single cutaway.

The Benito, is made with Acere, a species of conifer with tonal properties which are superior to Sitka etc. www.lbenitousa.com

I was at Gand today, since I only got the guitar late yesterday, and after we did some business stuff fired it up.

One of the players there, was aghast that I was considering trying to swith it for the single cutaway.

He had done that on a Taylor model, and said the bass tones, were limited because the cross bracing is shorter on one side.

The instrument is absolutly beautiful and plays as well as any I've heard.

Mr. Benito was Taylor's factory manager for many years and so knows his stuff.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Thanks,

Rob

Agreed! Besides, trading it in might upset the guitar gods who saw fit to give you that guitar. They can be a vengeful bunch.

I spent an hour playing it after visiting W & BW in South Bend today and will need to ship it home from Sweetwater or risk airplaneitis. I'm not sure it will overhead baggage and I refuse to check it without an ATA.

I'm trying to forget I have cutaways and retrain the overreach technique....

I agree on the Guitar Gods thing, it was blessed to have my name plucked from the few hundred in their fishbowl at NAMM.

Thanks for chimeing in.

Thanks,
