Members Cmogi10 Posted September 5, 2005 Members Posted September 5, 2005 Just got home with a brand new Taylor 714ce, and have never been happier It came down to a 614ce and a 714ce and the 714 one me over.
Members Cmogi10 Posted September 5, 2005 Author Members Posted September 5, 2005 O, im looking to restring my other guitar and I was curious to what was the different between the nanoweb and polyweb string's and which ones you prefered.
Members Cmogi10 Posted September 5, 2005 Author Members Posted September 5, 2005 Its amazing....I'm in heaven. It's quite an improvement over the blueridge I had been playing. I always tried to convince myself I was a martin man but this guitar won me over.
Members knockwood Posted September 5, 2005 Members Posted September 5, 2005 Congrats on your new guitar, man. On the question of of whether to restring with nanowebs or polywebs, I suggest neither. Try some uncoated phosphor/bronze strings. Trust me. I bought a 310 about two weeks ago. As much as I loved it when I carried it out of the store, once I took those nasty Elixirs off and restrung with some D'Addario phosphor/bronze numbers, it was like a whole new, even better guitar. Night and day difference in tone.
Members Cmogi10 Posted September 6, 2005 Author Members Posted September 6, 2005 I was worried with all the taylor bashing....but man, when you find a guitar with that sound. Wow anyways, thanks for that advice, Im planning on trying a couple new string brands and i just remember hearing a big debate on those two kinda of elixors, and one pretty much universally agreed on as being the better. I was just trying to figure that out.
Members leftync Posted September 6, 2005 Members Posted September 6, 2005 Congrats. that's the guitar I want. did you get the short scale?
Members Cmogi10 Posted September 6, 2005 Author Members Posted September 6, 2005 I dont think so? I think its just the standard one.
