Members leftync Posted September 11, 2005 Members Posted September 11, 2005 Just fantasizing. I'd like one of these to be my next instrument. Both have short scale, wide at the nut. Both are well regarded companies. Which do you prefer?
Members johnkline Posted September 11, 2005 Members Posted September 11, 2005 There's a new j45 rosewood up here in lexington for 1500.00. I passed on it and bought a used taylor 310ce, for half that. But it's a real nice, bassy guitar. Just out of my price range. John

Members leftync Posted September 12, 2005 Author Members Posted September 12, 2005 I'm left-handed. does anyone know if the Gibson comes lefty? I know all Taylors do.
Members guitarcapo Posted September 12, 2005 Members Posted September 12, 2005 Between the two I'd probably get the Gibson BUT: 1. Check it over very carefully to make sure it's a good one. Some lemons get through...but a good one is an heirloom. 2. Other gibson models are nicer...like the J-185, and J-100....Can often be had for the same price.
Members t60 fan Posted September 12, 2005 Members Posted September 12, 2005 I've played that Taylor model and its fantastic IMHO. And I'd say that salute is for Dan Rather.
