Tanglewood resonator?

Anybody ever played a Tanglewood TBS1000, nickle plated body?

Might buy one but don't know what : a johnson, a regal or tanglewood.

And yes, I would buy a National, if i could, but can't right now.

 

I played a bunch of reso's in the shop, one of 'm a tricone: i liked the sound of that one but do you think it's possible to make it sound agressive (with built in pup)? or is this the type of guitar you only use for softer things?

Never played one, but I hear these are among the best for the money. Made at the same plant as Bentons, I do hear some guys replace the bisquit cone for a less stiff tone.

To really get you wondering, throw a Liberty into the mix. Great stuff at a very nice price.
