Members BlackHatHunter Posted September 23, 2005 Members Posted September 23, 2005 I am pretty psyched. This is not spam, nor an infomercial. This is a real story, one from which I gain nothing whether it goes told or untold. Anyway, I have a credit card via Amazon.com. Every so often, I receive $25 GCs from them for charging purchases on the card. So a week ago, I went to look at how many I had and I had $300 worth of GCs. I went to scamazon.com and saw that they are now affiliated with Musician's Friend. I selected a Rogue Brass Resonator Dobro-like axe ($299, with great reviews on this site and others) and ordered it. I used my GCs to pay for the costs, and I received it yesterday. That baby is heavy and LOUD! I love it. I always wanted a Dobro, but never had a metal-body one. Now I do BTW, I agree with the reviewers. There is no way this guitar should sell for less than 300 buckaroos. Great value... especially with the GCs

Members JameGumb Posted September 25, 2005 Members Posted September 25, 2005 Fair play to you, friend. Enjoy the G.
Members BlackHatHunter Posted September 25, 2005 Author Members Posted September 25, 2005 Thanks It's a different way to play, for sure, but I sure enjoy it. For one thing, the action is much higher than I usually would like, but since I play both fingerstyle and slide on it, I suppose it's an OK compromise.
