Members vexed73 Posted September 22, 2005 Members Posted September 22, 2005 Need some opinions on what to do with this acoustic I never play. It is a takamine EG 45SC? It has anly been played about 10 hours in the past two years. It also has a hard case. Let me know what you think its worth or what I can expect to get for it. Heres a link to pictures of my guitars http://photobucket.com/albums/a169/vexed73/ Heres a link to Takamine with details on this guitar http://www.takamine.com/?fa=detail&mid=749&sid=352

Members vexed73 Posted September 22, 2005 Author Members Posted September 22, 2005 I am thinking 450 with case? Too much too little? They are discontinued and I do not remember how much I spent on it.
Members ExtremeRyno Posted September 23, 2005 Members Posted September 23, 2005 I'll buy it for $200 plus shipping. (I'm poor and have no guitar of my own. :insert sob story about pawning guitar for wedding ring:)

Members da mayor Posted September 23, 2005 Members Posted September 23, 2005 O.k. there vexed, your post is a little confusing. In the header you ask for opinons on what to do with it, and in the text you ask for opinons on what it's worth. As to what to do with it, well you can just ..... Sorry, couldn't resist. All kidding aside, if you never play it, why not consider donating it to a worthy cause. Check out the OJ forum, there's a sticky by a guy in Oregon that has a small foundation that gives music lesons, including guitar, to disadvantaged kids. When the kid passes the course, he/she gets the guitar. Great self-image booster. Their always in desparate need of used instruments (or cash donations, if anyone's interested) and you get a tax deduction for the donation. Or check around, you may find a local organization that could use it. Nice looking guitar, BTW, haven't a clue what it might be worth.
Members vexed73 Posted September 23, 2005 Author Members Posted September 23, 2005 Sorry about the confusion i really want to sell it but dont want to sell it if it isnt worth selling. I found my reciept and all the original hang tags and I paid 500 dollars for it. It is made in Taiwan but I dont think if you played it you could tell that. I bought this thinking I was going to play it sometimes but I am an electric player and one of my electrics has a peizo bridge on it so really dont need this. If I was a little better off I would donate it but the only way I get to buy new things is to sell old things or deal with MRS. wrath. It also looks like I bought it on 3/9/04 so I havent even had it two years. How time tricks you as you get older. Thanks for all of the replies but I think I may try selling it for 400 with the hard case. It is a good deal for a solid top and back with electronics and cutaway I think.
Members vexed73 Posted September 24, 2005 Author Members Posted September 24, 2005 If any one here is interested I will sell it for 400 shipped in the lower 48 US. I would also consider trades for stuff also. I dont know exactly what I want if it goes with an electric guitar I might be interested. I do want an Epiphone Casino or maybe a dot.
Members vexed73 Posted September 25, 2005 Author Members Posted September 25, 2005 I put it up on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7353215214&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1
