Members cavemanic Posted October 16, 2005 Members Posted October 16, 2005 doing some shows soon and going to throw in a few covers was thinking smashing pumpkins 1979 , stp , HIM ...maybe some live (dolphins cry, graze) U2 electric storm ...going to be using a godin with guitar synth and adrenalinn for some mild drum loops , so not so much an acoustic based performance just wonderin if something like dolphins cry is to cheesy or cliche?

Members JasmineTea Posted October 16, 2005 Members Posted October 16, 2005 You should play whatever you want, but some clubs are acustomed to the acceptable norm (whatever that happens to be at any given club) and if you get too far away from that you'll estrange the audience. Other clubs like it when you get off the beaten path.

Members guit30 Posted October 17, 2005 Members Posted October 17, 2005 Prepare for requests, especially in clubs, or you'll be gone, -coffee houses you can get away with more
