Members LDF Posted October 17, 2005 Members Posted October 17, 2005 What do you guys think of this article?? http://members.aol.com/rogluthier/index2.html I wonder if it truly does what it says..
Members hondro Posted October 17, 2005 Members Posted October 17, 2005 oh i love it! at the moment i have a router in my hand about to cut into my HD-28! clips and pics tomorrow:D but seriously, i think thats the principle behind the ovation guitar's soundholes
Members daklander Posted October 17, 2005 Members Posted October 17, 2005 I'd love to play and hear a steel string like that, see if it works.
Members scoutll Posted October 18, 2005 Members Posted October 18, 2005 Looks interesting, I'd like to try it too. I wonder if it would be better to take less off the top of the guitar though, leaving most of the cutout on the sides instead.

I'd love to try one out.... Le rouge et le noir too, though I didn't know one could use ebony as a S/B.
Members woodlakesound Posted October 18, 2005 Members Posted October 18, 2005 I haven't played it...http://members.aol.com/rogluthier/index2.html but I have a LoPrinzi Grand Artist Elite and can attest to the sound and playability being among he best out there. The dude can put together a great guitar. We call him 'Augie'. (Augustino LoPrinse) Very sweet man. I should get another before he retires.
Members bjorn-fjord Posted October 18, 2005 Members Posted October 18, 2005 My experience with soundports is that they really only benefit the player. Much more of the guitars sound reaches the player's ears directly (which is a good thing!). IMO they do little for the overall projection of the guitar.
