Looks interesting, I'd like to try it too. I wonder if it would be better to take less off the top of the guitar though, leaving most of the cutout on the sides instead.

but I have a LoPrinzi Grand Artist Elite and can attest to the sound and playability being among he best out there. The dude can put together a great guitar. We call him 'Augie'. (Augustino LoPrinse) Very sweet man. I should get another before he retires.

My experience with soundports is that they really only benefit the player. Much more of the guitars sound reaches the player's ears directly (which is a good thing!). IMO they do little for the overall projection of the guitar.
