Members FingerBone Bill Posted June 21, 2004 Members Posted June 21, 2004 Tommy playing .... Classical Gas
Members Prozak Posted June 21, 2004 Members Posted June 21, 2004 I'm sorry, but what does GAS stand for? I've seen it used several times but I haven't figured it out.

Gear (or Guitar) Acquisition Syndrome: the overpowering urge to purchase as many guitars, amps, effects, et al as possible without regards to financial repurcussions or interpersonal relationships. Doesn't really apply to the song, though. Seeing Tommy play has a different effect - you either wanna play more or you wanna burn all your guitars in frustration!
Members Mike Crixell Posted June 21, 2004 Members Posted June 21, 2004 Tommy definitely makes me want to play more, and better. He is talented as hell but he's also put more than the average lifetime of practice into his playing. He practices several hours a day even now, with a schedule that includes at least 300 gigs a year. He definitely inspires me. Mike
