Mississippi delta shines like a National...

I have a National Delphi, the steel bodied guitar which I enjoy thoroughly. A "painted type O" National was recently on e-bay and the seller said "not to be confused with the lesser Delphi model". How much difference is there in the sounds of these two guitars. I'll admit, I'm beginning to lust for the brass bodied type O, even though I've never heard one. (My wife wants to slap me) I live in the woods of Mass. so it's kind of hard to get to National dealers. And what about the other single cone national models? Anyone have strong opinions as to which has the best sound, tone, or whatever you call it (for mostly blues w/slide)?

Get the National cd from their web site with Bob Brozman playing each model or the one that was included with Fingerstyle magazine issue 34 (which featured the new Nationals). If the cd is still out of production PM me and I'll make you a copy.

It is very interesting to hear the differences between brass and steel bodies, as well as single and tri cone. Same player, same tunings, different guitars. As close to A/B as you can get.
