Advice on threading strap string

Hi. Can anyone suggest to me what the best way is to thread the strap string from the top strap button hole around the headstock just above the nut? There is a way to loop it that I just cannot remember for the life of me. Thank you.

Square knot?

Ya see, the rabbit runs out of the hole, then around the tree, then he runs back into his hole...

 

.. aw heck, a square knot works fine too! Just wrap the strap around the headstock behind the nut and beneath the strings. Don't try to thread the strap through the strings or you'll throw the tuning off.

If you'll thread the string between the E and e, and A and B's tuners (1st pair and 2nd), you'll find this'll avoid hampering making certain chords.
