Hi there

just wondering which you would recomend?

Is the traveller guitar brand good enough for acoustic playing?

It doesn't seem to have much of a body at least compared to the martin

I have played the martin before and didn't like it to much ..but I guess I can't be to selective!

isn't it tuned up higher as well or something?

thanks!

I didn't like the backpacker mainly since you had to wear the strap to play it. Since it was shaped more like a broom than a guitar, you needed something to hold it in place to play.

Haven't tried/don't know anything about the other brand that you listed.

If you're looking for a nice travel-sized guitar, try a Baby taylor. They're around $350 new, but you can easily get a like-new one on ebay for less than $200. I had one for 2 years, sounded great. I liked the tone so much I upgraded to better full-size taylors.

And so it began.

I only remember playing it with a strap but do you remember if you can hold it kinda flying v style? (or the way some classical guitarists play)

The Washburn Rover is much better than the backpacker. It plays pretty decently.

Anything that size is going to sound banjo-ey.

I like my Backpacker, but it definitely takes some getting used to. I wouldn't be surprised to find better options out there.

I like to hang my tennies from the bottom to balance it out. :freak:
